A quick introduction to yourselves and Otago Family Chiropractic.

We are Dr Aidan Mollie and Dr Chad and we are the owners of Otago Family Chiropractic. We opened OFC in January of 2022. Since this time we have had the privilege of helping so many families in our Dunedin community to thrive in all aspects of their lives. With neither of us originally being from Dunedin (Aidan - Canada, Chad - Whangarei), we have been absolutely blown away by how welcoming the community is. We have since started our own family and have two young boys keeping us busy when we are not in the practice.

Chiropractic care is so much more than treating back pain. It’s about proper biomechanical function and nervous system regulation. When these two things are in harmony it is where the true magic of life lies. Since the time of conception we have grown OFC into two locations- Dunedin and Balclutha and recently employed another chiropractor, Dr Liv, to help us continue to grow and see more families in our community.

What is something that you enjoy the most about the work that you do/the industry that you work in?

Chad - What I love most about my job is seeing families. I love the energy when everyone comes in together with kids running around, mum and dad throwing banter. It just makes for a great atmosphere and it’s so rewarding seeing all members of the family thriving. I truly believe that health is not singular. Even if it is just yourself coming in to improve your health, the flow on affect positively influences everyone around you.

We’ve worked really hard to make OFC a place where you feel like a part of our family. And just like any family we want the best for you. We want to see you reach for the stars and achieve whatever goals you have set.

What is something that people might find surprising about the work that you do/the industry that you work in?

Aidan - Chad has talked a lot about the human side of a family but we also know that our pets are family too! In 2024 I completed my International Academy of Veterinary Chiropractic (IVAC) which gives me internal recognition in treating animals with chiropractic care.

Since then I have seen many pets and working stock to ensure they are healthy and living a comfortable life. The horse side has been a little quieter due to raising our young boys but in 2026 I am getting back in the saddle, so to speak, and seeing more horses.

What's something that's coming up next for your business?

Some very exciting news for us as it has been a long time in the pipeline! We have recently purchased a building and are currently renovating it into our new practice in St Kilda. We are aiming to be operating out of there by June 2026.

This new space comes with parking on site for our patients, a specific small animal (dogs and smaller) adjusting room. And towards the end of the year we will have onsite X-ray imaging as well.

Whether you’re looking out for the wellness of your family, training for peak performance or navigating pregnancy, the team at Otago Family Chiropractic understand that a properly functioning spine and nervous system is essential for individuals of all ages.
